Our vacation, Camping on the Clearwater.

Well, our one week vacation is now over........We had a super time, and the weather held out for us. Because of all the rain we had, the water was high and we were able to see several waterfalls that are normally smaller. This one was my favorite, because it was next to the road. I was able to wade out for this marvelous shot!!!!! Paparazzi !!
Our dog, Roxy, made the trip on the 4 wheeler just fine.

Don all loaded up with the gear, and fishin poles.

Another few waterfalls, made our journey of 60+ miles very enjoyable... Because of all the water the fishing was slower than normal. But I was able to land 10 and of course
Don caught over 20. The country is just BEAUTIFUL.

My Garden Challenges

One month of rain, I think we should build an ark, or buy a boat. LOL, This is one of my favorite pictures that I took one night while we were in the hot tub. Still need help on putting pictures on my blog spot. Didn't mean to put it on twice. Maybe someone should call me and talk me through it.

This picture is of my 3 new burning bushes!! I have had to dig and dig and dig and dig. There were rocks, rocks, boulders, boulders, and several chunks of concrete. Many days and hours of labor went into this, but now it looks professional and finished!

We know better than to plant before Memorial Day!! We had had a wonderful warm spring, and the snow had melted off of the rock slide{ a local wives tale } and the tomato plants, we had bought from the Middle Schools Greenhouse were already 2 feet tall. So they got their new home! Two nights later in came the:
FREEZE WARNING!!!!

I did go out and cover all the new plants, they got covered with my sheets. Some got the cotton and some got the flannel. Well, that did not do the trick. It got too cold for the sheets to do any good. ~~~BUMMER~~They did not do well at all. But, the corn we started in the house from seed, we had covered with an older plastic tablecloth that is next to the house made it fine. The picture on lower right is the one with the frozen plants.

This morning, I have taken pictures of the 2 newer and improved tomato plants the one on the far right we will see if it will ever do anything. But after a MONTH of rain you can see our new growth. We have potatoes, radishes, corn, lettuce, peppers, broccoli, beans and basil. We leave in a few days for a week, we will see what they look like, after the trip.
